Cargowaggon Flat - Cargowaggon - 4647 031 - OO Scale - Weathered

The second one of these I've bought. Like the first it's a poor runner out of the box (wheels don't run freely and couplings are stiff.) However it's a very good looking wagon, very well detailed and well worth the money now being asked (including the 10% bulk discount - £27).

A great wagon

Attractive model, lightly weathered, looks great.
Delivery quite fast and properly packaged this time.
BUT two issues - firstly the couplings are very stiff, and the moving arms don't move very freely - (it did manage to couple to an engine though.) Secondly this is not very free running and thus very noisy. I'll be looking to resolve these issues myself - had this been at the original retail price I would have returned it.
Similar issues with the other wagon bought - this one is slightly better than the other one.

Look great and feel weighty in the hand.

I can only comment on the appearance as I haven’t got a layout at the moment, but they look amazing! I’m hoping they run as well as they look.

I did already have a couple of Heljan's Cargowaggons, box vans and flats but had been put off ordering more by prices in the region of £45-50. The chance of one for £24.99 with various discounts gave the impetus for more. They are excellent models with fine detail but unfortunately this one ran poorly when tested. I think that the problem (a sticking wheelset) is possibly due to stray paint from the weathering or a misformed axlebox; this will require cleaning of the wheelset and possibly running a drill bit around the axle hole.

Issues such as squeaking from one bogie / axle need to be investigated.

Great wagons, lovely running on metal wheels and a good weight. Very well applied colours and weathering.

Hi I was impressed by the quality for the price, the only niggle I have is that they all have very squeaky wheels which spoils the initial opening and use. I will have to buy some modelling oil and hope for the best.

A lovely wagon, well finished with swing upside supports very nice,
but wheels need a good lube job before you use them ! That a side
(a minor gripe) wish they did them in packs of 3 far more cost
effective !!!! Get one before there all gone...........!

Nice wagons and a very good price compared to the original release. I think the weathering on this model is reasonably constrained and will form a good basis for further work. Good VFM.
