A great model for a really great price! The model is packed with details and the livery is very crisp. A great runner at both crawl and low speeds.

A wonderful Class 47 in Railfreight red stripe livery that is beautifully applied with crisp painted and printed information panels etc. The actual detailing is wonderfully defined and extras features added around the body with wire hand rails, sprung buffers, etc. Features such as full directional LED lighting and cab interior lights and details. Although at a bargain price already, but with an extra 10% off that via the summer fruit machine lever pull. Then add in my cashed reward points, I did very well for such a lovely locomotive.

I know that a number of people are contemptuous of these models owing to the reported excessive tumble in of the cabs despite its original high price. To me, for the money they are now being sold at, they are perfectly fine. My heavy model runs quietly and smoothly (there is a faint hint of a jerkiness at slower speeds but it is not run-in yet). The exhaust vent hole in the roof is a strange detail but that can be overcome. I do not have any complaints about it.

The Heljan Class 47 has gained a somewhat poor reputation following reviews from several online influencers, but my own experience has been very different. At £99.99, I think this Railfreight Red Stripe 47214 represents tremendous value and is almost impossible to beat.
It is a great-looking locomotive with plenty of detail, built-in speakers and DCC-ready operation. You can simply fit a Hornby HM7000 decoder or choose a more expensive sound decoder if preferred.
Is every detail quite as accurate as on the considerably more expensive Bachmann Class 47? Perhaps not, but at £99.99 I am really not concerned. The detailing is nowhere near as poor as some reviews suggest, and the model looks excellent on the layout.
I am extremely pleased with mine. It runs well, looks the part and offers exceptional value for money. Highly recommended.

Im in no way an expert on trains but I do really like this model, its well detailed and comes in a great mix of liveries. For the price its a bargain!

Excellent bargain, bought at an incredibly low price during the spin a dial promotion. My fifth class 47 purchase, plus two Class 33s and a Railbus, mostly purchased since the Accurascale takeover. Okay, my Bachmann Class 47s may be more accurate models in terms of the actual appearance, but I couldn’t care less. Very pleased!

Runs really good and looks great running behind a rake of coal wagons and at £99 exceptional value for money

This was a loco that caught my eye a while ago, but I felt the price was far too high. However, at the price I paid post the Accurascale acquisition of the company, it was an absolute bargain. It's a smooth runner, seems well constructed and looks like a 47 (to me, at least!).

The livery is particularly eye-catching. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase.

I took part in the 'spin the wheel' and landed a 30% off which meant I had to spend the money on the Class 47 as it was too good to miss. I was already contemplating buying it anyway at just below £100!

Delivery was quick and the usual emails updating on progress are always welcome. As usual (I have a few Heljan locos), it was well packed and unboxing is always a pleasure. It now sits with my other 47 and 57 and complements my TMD nicely. Thanks!

Good value model. Printed nameplates look rather bland, requiring etched ones fitting. Has factory fitted speakers for easy sound conversion. Good runner.
