Great model with a minor paint blemish
I have now purchased nine Heljan Class 33s, and overall I have been very impressed with them. This D6580 in BR Green is another excellent runner with great detailing and superb value at £99.98.
The only reason I have not given it five stars is that my example has a small paint blemish or scuff mark on one of the bodyside doors as you can see in the image. It is relatively minor and not worth the hassle of returning the model, particularly as I intend to weather it anyway, which will hide the mark completely.
Importantly, this appears to be a simple factory quality-control issue rather than a fault with the locomotive itself. The model runs well, looks great overall, and the paint finish on the other Class 33s I have purchased has generally been excellent.
A very good model, excellent value for money, and only narrowly misses out on five stars because of the small cosmetic defect.
