Few rail vehicles capture the atmosphere of Britain's branch lines quite like the '122's. Built to provide an economical service on quieter routes, these distinctive single-car DMUs became a familiar sight across the country.

We're proud to show the final production samples, which have incorporated a number of tooling updates around the front end, to accurately portray the prototype in every way.

What's been updated?

Early Class 122s featured prominent headcode indicator boxes, which remained in place until the mid-to-late 1970s before being plated over - initially quite crudely, then later with a neater flush-fronted finish.

To accurately capture these variations, we've developed new cab tooling covering the original, plated-over and flush-fronted arrangements.

Combined with fine etched components for the plated-over versions, each model faithfully reflects its chosen era, ensuring there's a Class 122 that's perfect for your layout and modelling period.
