I cannot argue with the price. £99 for a modern spec locomotive is just perfect.
It's a shame that the cab front windows are completely wrong but as said above, for the price, I can overlook that.
Fitting a Loksound decoder was a doddle as was the speaker. It looks fine running round my garden with 9 coaches in tow.
Hopefully we can expect far more accurate models from Heljan in the future.
I like the floating bogie within a bogie like the Kernow models Bulleid diesel. A very good design for the 1CO-CO1 00 gauge bogie.
Very good looking model, although the fitment of a DCC chip could be made easier, following the instructions was not easy and also due to difficulty actually accessing the board it was easier to unscrew the pcb!
Running wise, I now need to fit a stay alive due to constantly stopping on my layout which is fitted with insulfrog points.
Hopefully future products will address this following the Accurascale acquisition as their newer releases have these as standard.

It is a lovely model of a class 104 DMU, the livery is spot on, well detailed and has very strong packaging. It was also shipped out very fast, and communications were excellent! This is a new, exciting way to purchase models, and I have other items on pre-order too, looking very forward to those models when they arrive!
Lovely loco and it runs beautifully. My only concern was that one is lead to believe adding a sound decoder is all that's needed to enjoy sound. It came with a pair of speakers but absolutely no information as to how they should be fitted.
