Ran my class 122 bubble car yesterday to test as there has been a lot of criticism regarding these locos but found mine was running well after around half hour of running in and getting quieter, also the detail and glazing is excellent so I'm very happy with my purchase and look forward to the deltic being released thanks Heljan A*****
Yes I’m very impressed with this model. It looks great and runs very smoothly. I have the DCC ready version. Have heard that the sound package is not so good. I hope all future models under the new Heljan situation will be this good and am looking forward to the LNER railcard.
my class 122 is a beautiful thing and is what my layout needed. you just need to fix the gear problem. Maybe look at YouTube and see what someone did to fix it. Now maybe your next one could be a class 117 DMU or a class 33. thanks for a lovely loco.
Loco arrived earlier than expected, very pleased with that.
Runs fine forward, bit noisy in reverse.
The 3rd of type bought, other two run more quietly, hopefully it will improve with running.
Lacks a bit if paint detail, no black front grill, but this maybe due to loco livery.
Generally pleased with purchase.

Really pleased with this model. It's heavy, well-detailed and runs smooth as butter. Only criticisms I have are the lack of etched nameplates, the somewhat low-res photographs in the instructions and how fiddly the NEM couplings are to fit; however, these are relatively minor gripes, as the most important element, the actual model itself, is excellent. Really good value for money too.

A beautifully detailed model with a lovely quiet motor. The model is weighty and can pull a decent load.
The sound quality is excellent, but sadly not sure that I need all of the sounds.
Paint job is also excellent. Well packaged as always.
