Die Class 47 ist eine der meistproduzierten Lokomotiven der BR-Flotte. Diese Lokomotiven wurden zwischen 1962 und 1968 von Brush Traction und den British Rail Crewe Works entworfen und gebaut. Sie wurden in der gesamten westlichen Region für den Personenverkehr eingesetzt und sind noch heute bei Sonderfahrten im ganzen Land zu sehen.

Main concern: pre-fitted buffer beam details are difficult to remove for standard coupling installation, requiring drilling in some cases.

Excellent locomotive. Livery is fantastic very well applied. It runs exceptionally well. The sound file is terrific. Incredible value for money.
Happy to give this a 5* as this matches up very well I think with the Bachmann version which I have in this livery. The use of Legoman sound also very good.like the F8 hold so that you can get the authentic revs prior to pulling away.

Run and sounds great, paint work spot on, no lose parts, same buffer beam fitted with all pipe work and will not work with a coupler.
It is a very nice loco and runs very well although the sound quality could be better. Other sound fitted locos that I have purchased recently, from the likes of Bachmann and Accurascale, have had excellent sound due, no doubt, to the installation of premium speakers. However, apart from that, I am very pleased with this Class 47..
A bargain with the spin the reals promotion discount. Despite comments elsewhere, it still looks like a 47 (yes I know that cab is a bit too narrow at the front) and a decent sound from it.
Heljan pre-fitting the detail is a pain if you actually want to pull trains with a standard coupling - to me, it's as fiddly to remove details when I don't want them as it is fiddly to add details when I do!
Cracking dound loco at a good price through spinning the wheel.
Using my first order discount I purchased the Intercity Class 47 sound fitted . Out of the box it ran very smoothly. With the latest Loksound decoder and a very good sound file there were numerous lighting function and lots of sounds to choose from . You get full control of the lighting functions such as cab and engine lights . Being quite heavy there is no problem pulling a decent train . The factory fitted speakers are fine for my 10 X 8 ft layout . It’s robust enough to handle being taken on and off my layout . Ok the front end might be a little wrong but not noticeable at normal viewing distance.
At the updated price it’s great value .
SAMS trains on you tube says its the worst model ever so i bought it and found it to be good for the price .
Lovely decorated model great sound recording good value all round.
Lovely looking loco, runs great and sounds wonderful. Lost a star because of having to remove buffer beam detailing to install couplings - and they aren't easy to remove either. Ended up having to use a drill bit from the back to try to "pop" them off.
Really smooth runner and beautifully detailed straight out the box with buffer beam pipework fitted to both ends and even the buffer grease patches too!
My model of 47555 arrived today. Once my layout is up and running, the plan is to invite members of the Class 40 Preservation Society round to play trains. I’ll tell them the next train is a Class 40, only for The Commonwealth Spirit to come round the corner. It’ll be like 1982 all over again!
Absolute value for money, looks nice and sounds good. I’ll be keeping an eye out for more models
